The rising popularity of Final Fantasy XIV with the Endwalker expansion has congested the servers, creating long queues. Related: FFXIV: Endwalker - Pros & Cons Of Using Session Timers, Not Queues Looking at the Final Fantasy XIV: Endwalker roadmap, the first patch will be on Decemand the second on January 4, 2022. Players can most likely expect the issue to be resolved in Patch 6.01 or 6.05 at the latest. Since the ending credits for Endwalker are unaffected by the 30-minute timer, a fix should happen in the near future. Whenever an issue this prevalent occurs, the development team is usually pretty quick to implement a patch. This may not be ideal, but the alternative is longer queue times, and that would be worse for all players. Unless the server congestion subsides soon, the AFK timer will most likely stay in the game. Unfortunately, there has not been any word as to when this issue may be fixed. ![]() All of this is shown in the final cutscenes and can be accessed in Final Fantasy XIV's free trial. ![]() Shadowbringers ends as the Warrior of Light, with the help of the rest of the Scions, defeats Emet-Selch. They are forced back to the main menu and have to find other things to do while they wait in the queue again. By being kicked from the game, fans are dragged out of this special moment. The ending credits fill adventurers with a sense of accomplishment and pay respect to all those that worked on the expansion.
